Kite Runners Afghanistan Tours
Booking Terms and Participation Agreement
1. Booking and Payment
A booking is only confirmed after the Client completes and
signs the Booking Form. A 10% deposit is required to secure the tour and is
non-refundable. The signed form and proof of payment must be sent to the
Company. Once confirmed, the Company will send booking details, a Letter of
Invitation, and a copy of its licence for visa purposes only. Visa approval is
not guaranteed.
The remaining 90% of the tour price must be paid in cash on the first day of the tour, using new and undamaged USD 100 or EUR 100 notes.
2. Cancellations and Refunds
If the Company cancels the tour before it starts due to reasons beyond its control, the deposit will be refunded. If the tour is canceled after it has begun, refunds will only apply to unused services.
If the Client cancels more than 30 days before the tour, 50% of the deposit will be refunded. If canceled within 30 days, no refund will be given. No refund is provided if the Client leaves the tour early. Payments are used to cover operational costs such as transport, accommodation, staff, and permits. All cancellations must be made in writing.
3. Travel Risks
The Client understands that traveling in Afghanistan involves risks, including remote locations, limited medical facilities, transport issues, weather conditions, illness, and possible security changes. By joining the tour, the Client accepts these risks so it is better to have a travel insurance.
4. Liability and Responsibility
The Clients agree to take full responsibility for their participation in the tour. The Company is not responsible for injury, illness, loss, damage, delays, or death that may occur during the tour, including during free time or transportation, to the extent allowed by law.
5. Indemnity
The Client agrees to protect the Company from any claims, costs, or damages caused by their actions or behavior during the tour.
6. Laws, Conduct, and Removal
Clients must follow local laws, cultural rules, and instructions from guides at all times. The Company may remove any Client from the tour without refund if their behavior is unsafe, disrespectful, illegal, or puts others at risk.
7. Insurance and Medical Care
Clients must arrange their own travel and medical insurance, including emergency evacuation. The Company does not provide insurance and is not responsible for medical costs. In an emergency, the Client allows the Company to arrange medical treatment at the Client’s expense.
8. Health and Fitness
The Clients confirm that they are physically and mentally fit to take part in the tour and understand it. It is their responsibility to seek medical advice before traveling if needed.
9. Travel Documents
The Client is responsible for having a valid passport, visa, and any required documents. The Company is not responsible for denied entry, delays, or extra costs due to missing or invalid documents.
10. Force Majeure
The Company is not responsible for changes, delays, or cancellations caused by events beyond its control, such as political changes, natural disasters, health emergencies, or security situations.
11. Privacy
Personal information is used only for tour operations and administration and will not be shared unless required by law.
12. Legal Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by the laws under which the Company is registered. Any legal disputes will be handled by the courts of that jurisdiction. If one part of the agreement is invalid, the rest still applies.
13. Acceptance
By signing this agreement, the Client confirms they understand and accept all terms and risks. No verbal promises outside this document are legally valid.
